St Albans - Rock the Kasbah

As guests arrive, they enter the vibrant, bustling atmosphere of a traditional Moroccan souk. Their senses are immediately assaulted by the intense variety of sounds and sights, which surround them. Traders, hawkers and entertainers fight for their attention, each one intent on capturing their interest.

The market stalls are lit with large bronze oil lamps, which fill the air with the musky scent of burning incense, and cast deep shadows along the walls. The light from these glowing lamps reveals an abundant variety of wares: from succulent piles of fresh oranges, pomegranates, olives and nuts, to stacks of golden pots and colourfully painted pottery. Many of the stalls are draped with richly woven rugs, which add further colour to the spectacle.
