| Capital contribution
By analyzing the income streams received over the contract period, EcoCentroGen is able to pay a Capital Contribution towards the building budget for a development. The intention is that the capital contribution covers the additional costs of implementing a low carbon and digital life style utility solution for a development. Therefore the developer achieves "cost neutrality" against what they would have spent in a "business as usual" scenario. Cost neutral or better
Once EcoCentroGen's capital contribution is factored in, a Developer/site owner can have the Marketing/Planning advantages of employing a district heating and CHP utility solution, coupled with a state of the art digital lifestyle application, without it costing more. In other words the additional "build costs" are absorbed to achieve "cost neutrality" or, in many cases better, a build budget reduction. Cost comparison:
Operational costs
Throughout the contract term EcoCentroGen are responsible for all operational costs for the Energy Centre, distribution infrastructure and fibre optic network. Therefore all associated costs are borne by EcoCentroGen, these include: • Primary fuel • Operation & Maintenance • Lifecycle costs/Plant replacement • Insurances/Administration • Metering and Billing
Tariffs
Discounted energy EcoCentroGen offers it's customers a discounted electricity tariff throughout the contract period. We agree with the client as part of the legal process a "basket" of conventional electricity suppliers, which are then averaged out to establish the baseline tariff on day one of commencement of service. We then apply a 10% discount to this price which then is tracked and reviewed on an annual basis. This ensures EcoCentroGen's customers always receive discounted low carbon electricity. Subscription based options Traditionally a utility company has only been able to generate more revenue by selling more energy; however EcoCentroGen have established an alternative product whereby we charge a monthly fixed price for a bundle of services (power, heat, water, Broadband, TV & telephony) for a residential end user and we take the responsibility of educating/ incentivizing the customer to use less energy. This also gives the end user a guaranteed budget for their annual utility costs. It gives EcoCentroGen an opportunity to make more from selling less and real inroads into energy conservation. This approach is proving increasingly popular with our Residential Social Landlord (RSL) and private Developer Clients.
