Woodland Walk

Behind the nursery is a large area of woodland with a stream which has been adapted for the children. We are very aware of the Health & Safety risks this creates, but also of the educational opportunities this provides.

A woodland trail has been developed with clearly defined paths and areas to stop and explore. There are balancing exercises on pieces of wood, raised walk ways over boggy areas, and beautiful glades where the children can have picnics in the summer. The Team take groups of children for regular walks and use Walkie Talkies to stay in touch with the main nursery.

The Woodland Walk is a fantastic resource for the nursery as the children watch the seasons change and learn about how trees and plants grow in the spring and die back in the winter. When you visit please make sure you leave enough time to visit the Woodland Walk.
